The Show Stick

We raise and breed for Fullblood, Pure bred, percentage or composite calves from  Angus, Braunvieh, Maine and other breeds. We raise them like we would want to buy them and use them ourselves. Our calves are gentle and started on halter and we breed for disposition, performance, and eye appeal. Most of the exhibiting we have done is in the Braunvieh breed but are expanding to other breed shows and develop calves for every type.

We, ourselves show on a very limited basis, primarily in Braunvieh breed shows for promotion and are not in the cattle showing business, rather produce calves for both showing and breeding. It takes a lot of time and dedication to show cattle and our 1st priority is producing quality cattle. You are not in competition with us! We don't pick out the very best for ourselves and sell the rest to our customers. We are proud of our accomplishments but you, the customer always come first. We really hate the word "show" as we don't produce cattle for show but rather produce cattle good enough to show.

Most “club" calves are extreme. They would never make it in the real world. We try to use a more moderate approach and just “tweak” the system. We have combined the requested traits with our herd's maternal, growth, efficiency, and soundness traits. We will never sacrifice functionality and showing is only part of their life.
